Parents, Teachers and Friends Association
There is a very active P.T.F.A. at the school and all parents are automatically members. The prime motivation of the association is to support the school to the benefit of the children.
Much of the PTFA activity involves raising funds to help provide things for the school that the overstretched budget cannot meet (and occasionally providing things for children that parents’ overstretched budgets cannot meet – like spare uniform!) The PTFA raises around £5,000-£6,000 each year through a series of social events and sales.
PTFA meetings happen regularly – advertised in the weekly school newsletter – and are open to all. We are always looking for new ideas so please do join us – and if you can’t make the meetings feel free to get in touch via the school office or find us as ‘Stockland PTFA’ on Facebook. We are a friendly group so do come along!
An A.G.M. is held in the Spring term each year when a committee is elected to organise and run a variety of events, some purely fund-raising, others of a more social nature.
For further information please contact the PTFA secretary or any other committee member.

The most recent purchases the PTFA has been able to fund for the school are:
- Improvements to classroom resources and playground
- Leasing a printer for Class 2 and projectors for Class 2&4
- Books for the new library
- Contributions to transport for school trips
Previously the PTFA has funded a number of important projects such as financing the Class 1 canopy and the dining tables, converting and kitting out the library. In addition, many regular activities are supported such as buses for school trips and events, books, theatre productions and sports equipment.
Currently the PTFA is considering how to improve outdoor learning at the school – Forest School in particular. All suggestions and ideas are welcomed.
Can you help?
We are always looking for volunteers to donated cakes and to lend a hand at events as well as to pass on out-grown school uniform. Do please get in touch if you can.
