Salary Range £44,544 - £59,264 (Group 1 School) FTE per annum

To cover the Spring and Summer terms, Academic year 2017/2018

Start date 2nd January 2018

The ​Board of Governors of Stockland (C of E) Primary Academy is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational interim Headteacher to begin at the start of the Spring term 2018. This is a unique opportunity to experience an outstanding academy, covering 2 terms whilst a permanent recruitment solution is secured.

The successful applicant will need to ensure that the school continues to provide an exceptional level of education for its pupils. Results at Key Stage 2 are ​well above the national​ ​average​ ​and​ ​pupils​ ​make​ ​excellent​ ​progress.

We wish to recruit a leader who is passionate about developing ‘the whole child’ to have key life skills and who promotes a love of learning through a broad and balanced curriculum. A role model who empowers and leads staff to achieve their own potential and that of our children. Our leader will promote and develop our excellent partnerships.

We are fortunate to have a highly committed and experienced staff team who will be happy to help our interim Headteacher get up to speed quickly. The team inspires a curiosity and love of learning in our pupils and you will find our children to be well mannered, ​ ​happy​ ​and​ ​inquisitive.

  • Proven experience of Senior Management at primary level, leading and delivering​ ​continuous​ ​improvement​ ​and​ ​school​ ​development;

  • The commitment and expertise to effectively safeguard the wellbeing​ ​of​ ​pupils;

  • The ability to learn quickly and to hit the ground running;

  • A passion for creativity, research based practice and be forward thinking;

  • Clarity​ ​of​ ​vision​ ​and​ ​direction​ ​and​ ​the​ ​ability​ ​to​ ​inspire​ ​and​ ​engage​ ​others

  • The highest levels of professionalism and integrity and a deep commitment and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to children and their learning;

  • Effective communication skills allowing them to gain the confidence of children, staff, parents, trustees and the wider community

  • The ability to demonstrate experience in and awareness of the importance of financial management​ ​in​ ​an​ ​Academy;  

  • An outstanding education practitioner skillset – someone who will act as a role model by delivering a teaching commitment of ​0.1 ​- 0.3 full time equivalent hours per week, subject​ ​to​ ​the​ ​ongoing​ ​needs​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Academy.
