Quantock Class Activities

Quantock Class have enjoyed another busy week exploring and investigating. Big questions we’ve answered include ‘Do gases have mass?’ and ‘ Where in the world does our food come from?’ To help solve these conundrums, we’ve been busy shaking bottles of lemonade in the playground and cooking up treats in the classroom.

On Tuesday, we planned and carried out a fair test to answer our scientific question. And yes, we concluded, gas (carbon dioxide) weighs a surprising amount. Then yesterday, everyone prepared their own fruit skewer by chopping bananas, strawberries and watermelon. After that, we worked in teams to make two rhubarb crumbles. Today we have made our own seasonal tarts and can’t wait to tuck in and eat it all at Jubilee picnic this afternoon!
